Welcome to GradeReady. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GradeReady website located at gradeready.app (the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
By accessing or using GradeReady, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
By using GradeReady, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use the Service. By using GradeReady, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
GradeReady provides a browser-based analysis tool for estimating the centering of trading cards.
Beta Status: The Service is currently in Early Access / Beta. Features may be incomplete, contain bugs, or be modified without notice.
Client-Side Processing: All image processing occurs locally within your browser. GradeReady does not upload, store, or see your card images on its servers.
Saved Cards: If you save grading results to your account, those results (centering data, grades, and card metadata) are stored on our servers. Your original card images are not uploaded — only the analysis data.
Active Pro Subscribers: Your saved card data is stored indefinitely while your subscription is active.
Free Users: Saved card data is retained for 90 days from your last login. After 90 days of inactivity, saved data may be permanently deleted.
Lapsed Pro Subscribers: If your Pro subscription ends (cancellation or failed payment), your saved card data will be retained for 90 days from the end of your billing period. During this grace period, you can resubscribe to regain full access. After 90 days, data may be permanently deleted.
Anonymous Users: All data for anonymous users is stored locally in your browser only. Clearing your browser data will erase it. GradeReady stores no server-side data for anonymous users.
Active Sessions: Your active grading session will never be interrupted. Access checks only occur when starting a new grade, not during one in progress.
Data Export: You can export your grading results at any time via the Export function. We recommend exporting your data regularly regardless of subscription status.
Providers: We use Clerk for authentication. You may sign in via email or Google.
Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activities that occur under your account.
Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including attempts to bypass usage limits or engage in automated scraping.
Service Tiers:
Usage Credit Trigger: A "grade" or usage credit is consumed only when you begin adjusting centering lines. Uploading and previewing images does not consume a credit.
Billing: Subscriptions are processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the recurring monthly fee until you cancel.
Early Access Pricing: The $4.99/mo rate is Early Access pricing and is subject to change. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price increases.
Refund Policy: Because the Service is digital and consumed immediately, refunds are generally not provided. However, if you experience a technical bug that prevents use during your first 7 days of a Pro subscription, please contact support for a prorated refund evaluation. Requests for refunds based on periods of non-use (e.g., forgetting to cancel a subscription) may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at GradeReady's sole discretion, but are not guaranteed. It is the subscriber's responsibility to manage their subscription and cancel before the next billing cycle if they no longer wish to be charged.
Our Property: The GradeReady name, logo, source code, algorithms, and UI design are the exclusive property of GradeReady and its operators.
User Content: You retain full ownership of any images you use with the tool. Because images are processed client-side, GradeReady has no access to or claim over your images.
Third-Party Trademarks: Pokémon, PSA, BGS, CGC, and other brand names are trademarks of their respective owners. GradeReady is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to these entities.

GradeReady is NOT an official grading service.
Estimates Only: Centering grades are mathematical estimates based on user-placed digital lines. They do not guarantee the grade a professional company (like PSA, BGS, or CGC) will assign.
No Accuracy Guarantee: Results depend on photo quality, lighting, and user precision.
No Warranty: The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy or reliability of the tool.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GradeReady and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including financial losses resulting from grading submission decisions, lost data, or Service downtime. Your use of the tool is at your own risk.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GradeReady and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via an on-site banner or email (for registered users). Continued use of GradeReady after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
